Your privacy and trust are important to us, and this Privacy Statement (“Statement”) provides important information about how DC Chambers Tax Legal, SLP (DCC Tax & Legal) handles personal information. This Statement applies solely and exclusively to the DCC Tax & Legal website at www.delcantochambers.es, operated by DC Chambers Tax Legal, SLP, a company registered in Madrid, Spain, at Calle Alcalá 544, Pta. Izq., 28014 Madrid. Personal information, purpose and data retention periods

DCC Tax & Legal is committed to the responsible management and protection of personal information. Personal information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We collect, use, disclose, transfer and store personal information when it is necessary to provide our services, and only for our operational and business purposes.

Data will be collected solely to the extent necessary to provide our professional services and to keep you informed of any relevant information and news relating to those services, and will not be further processed in a manner incompatible with these purposes.

The personal data provided will be retained for as long as the contractual relationship remains in force, and thereafter for as long as required by applicable law and until any liabilities arising from the contract have lapsed, for the purpose of formulating, exercising or defending potential claims. When we no longer need the personal data, we delete or securely destroy it.

Data and specially protected data relating to criminal offences may be requested where necessary for the formulation, exercise or defence of claims, whether administrative, out-of-court or judicial, depending on the merits of the matter or the procedural strategy decided upon for the defence of the interests entrusted, to the best of our technical and legal knowledge and good faith. Where it is necessary to process specially protected data and/or data relating to criminal offences in order to carry out the contracted services, the data subject expressly consents to such processing.

Legal obligations: we may be required to use and retain personal information for legal and compliance reasons, such as the prevention, detection or investigation of a crime, and the prevention of loss or fraud. We may also use personal information to comply with our internal and external audit requirements and for information security purposes; and we believe it may be necessary or appropriate:

To manage the sending of commercial communications, tailored to a personal profile and preferences built from data obtained from our own and third-party sources, by electronic and/or conventional means, where the User authorises this by ticking the relevant box on the contact forms. Where applicable, the User’s data will be processed for that purpose until they withdraw their consent via the email address clerk@dcctaxlegal.es.

 

When we share personal information

The User’s data will, in general, not be disclosed to third parties. DCC Tax & Legal shares or discloses personal information when it is necessary to provide the Services or to carry out our business operations, as described below. When we share personal information, we do so in accordance with data privacy and security requirements. The parties with whom we may share personal information, and the reason, are set out below.

Third parties for legal reasons: we will share personal information when we believe it is necessary, for example with:

  • Public Authorities, in the cases provided for by law.
  • Banks and financial institutions, for the collection of payment for DCC Tax & Legal’s services.
  • Courts and Tribunals, to manage your claim.
  • Notaries, lawyers and registrars, where applicable, to carry out the provision of the contracted services.
  • The opposing party, in the exercise of the right of defence.
  • Third-party service providers.

 

Where we store and process personal information

DCC Tax & Legal is a global organisation, and your personal information may be stored and processed outside your country of origin. We take steps to ensure that the information we collect is processed in accordance with this Privacy Statement and with the requirements of applicable law, wherever the data is located.

Your personal data is stored securely in Sage for tax and accounting services, in Clio (a legal records management software) and in our email system, and documents are securely archived in Google Drive.

 

How we protect personal information

DCC Tax & Legal takes data security very seriously, and we use appropriate technologies and procedures to protect personal information. Our information security policies and procedures are closely aligned with widely accepted international standards and are reviewed regularly and updated as necessary to meet our business needs, changes in technology and regulatory requirements.

 

Your right to access and correct your personal information

We respect your right to access and control your information, and we will respond to requests for information and, where appropriate, correct, amend or delete your personal information.

The User may send a request by email to clerk@delcantochambers.es with the reference “Data Protection”, enclosing a photocopy of their identity document, in order to:

  • Withdraw the consents granted.
  • Obtain confirmation as to whether or not DCC Tax & Legal is processing the User’s personal data.
  • Access their personal data.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request the erasure of their data when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • Obtain from DCC Tax & Legal the restriction of data processing where any of the conditions provided for in data protection legislation is met.
  • Request the portability of their data.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), via the website www.aepd.es or by letter addressed to the Subdirección General de Inspección de Datos of the AEPD, Calle Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, where they consider that DCC Tax & Legal has infringed the rights granted to them under applicable data protection legislation.
